LooTravel App Privacy Policy
How LooTravel uses the data needed for your account, exploration and memories.
Email: lootravelapp@gmail.com
Data controller
The data controller is Saúl Pinedo Caballero, tax ID (NIF) 41513318C, at Av. des Camp Verd, 4, 07730 Alaior, Illes Balears, Spain. For privacy enquiries and to exercise your data protection rights, email lootravelapp@gmail.com.
Account, profile and character
LooTravel processes your email address, account identifier, profile and character to identify you, personalise your experience and retain your progress. Authentication and account data are managed through Supabase; Apple or Google are involved if you choose those sign-in methods. Session tokens are kept in your device's secure storage.
Location
With your permission, we use foreground location to check proximity to missions, navigate, orient and recenter the map, check the weather and calculate routes. Some coordinates may be sent to Mapbox, Open-Meteo and system mapping or geocoding services, including Google and Apple. The current implementation does not store a GPS history in Supabase. Location data related to the weather cache, jellyfish sightings and the active mission is retained locally. You can manage the permission in your device settings; features that need it may be limited.
Photos and memories
Memory photos are stored locally on your device. Images are not currently uploaded to LooTravel's backend. Memory metadata and progress may be synchronised, without the image or its local path. Automatic operating system backups depend on your settings and the provider; LooTravel does not control their deletion.
Progress
Supabase may store and synchronise completed missions, XP, virtual coins, unlocks, inventory, equipment and character, memory metadata and completed places or points. Progress and preferences are also stored locally. Coins and the virtual shop are part of the game, with no real-money purchases.
Maps and providers
LooTravel uses Supabase for accounts and progress, Google Maps for maps, Mapbox for routes, Open-Meteo for weather, and Apple and Google services for sign-in, maps and system features where applicable. Expo/EAS is involved operationally in developing and building the app; it is not used as a product analytics platform.
Telemetry and diagnostics
The Google Maps SDK may collect pseudonymous or anonymous identifiers, metrics and operational diagnostics under its terms. LooTravel does not currently integrate its own analytics platform or Sentry, Crashlytics, Bugsnag or an equivalent. Some providers may process their own telemetry and operational diagnostics. The app does not use advertising identifiers for advertising.
Notifications, advertising and purchases
Version 1.0 does not use push notifications, advertising, real in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Retention
Data linked to an account is retained while the account remains active or for as long as it is needed to provide the service, subject to applicable legal obligations. No exact retention period is specified here for records or backups managed by external providers.
Account deletion
In the app, open Options, expand Account and select Delete Account. Two confirmations are required and the action is irreversible. After the server confirms deletion, your LooTravel identity and associated account and progress data are deleted, linked local data and photos managed by LooTravel that are no longer referenced by another local account are cleared, and you are signed out. If local cleanup fails, the app notifies you. Your Apple or Google account is not deleted, and deletion of their records or operating system backups is not guaranteed.
Contact
For support, privacy enquiries or requests relating to your data, email lootravelapp@gmail.com. If you cannot access your account, you can request help with its deletion through this channel; you will need to verify that the account belongs to you. Do not send your password or access tokens.
Sign in with Apple
If you used Sign in with Apple, also remove LooTravel's access in your Apple Account settings, under Sign in with Apple. This revokes the app's access; it does not delete your Apple Account.
